Where I Came From, and Why Faith Changed Everything

I didn’t grow up with a roadmap. I grew up learning things the hard way—through mistakes, consequences, and eventually addiction. For years, I chased escape instead of purpose, numbing pain instead of facing it.
Addiction didn’t just take things from me. It stripped me down to who I really was when everything else was gone.
Recovery wasn’t instant. It wasn’t clean. And it wasn’t something I could do on my own. Faith became the turning point—not religion, not rules, but a relationship that gave me accountability, hope, and a reason to keep going when I didn’t trust myself.
Christ didn’t remove the struggle overnight. He gave me strength to walk through it, one day at a time.
That journey reshaped how I live, how I work, and how I treat people. It taught me discipline, honesty, and respect for process—values that now show up in my design work and in every commitment I make.
I don’t hide this part of my story. It’s the foundation.
